All About Al Ain is a local guide to cafés, restaurants, salons, gyms and perfume shops in Al Ain, UAE, and the discounts available across the city. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what control you have. We follow the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Two things ask for your position: the “Close by me” sort, and the map, which centres on you when you open it. In both cases the app calculates distances on your phone. Your coordinates are never sent to our servers, never stored, and never shared. You can refuse the permission and keep using the whole app — the map simply opens over the city instead.
We count in-app events so we can see which features and deal sources people actually use. Each event carries exactly: the event name (for example, a place was opened, or the Redeem button was tapped); the id of the place, deal, opening or event involved; the app platform (iOS, Android or web); the app version; the app's current language; and the time it happened — plus a random installation id generated once on your device and stored there. It never carries your email, your name, or anything you typed.
That installation id stays the same across your visits, so together these events can show what one device did over time — for example, that one installation opened several deal pages this week. It is generated on-device, independently of signing in, and not linked to your account, your email, or your name; our staff cannot start from your account and reach it, or the reverse. We use these events only in aggregate, to see which screens and deal sources are used and which are not.
We use these services purely as processors acting on our instructions:
Place information, ratings and photos come from public sources such as Google Maps and the delivery apps; that content is about businesses, not about you.
Your account data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and it is removed. Anonymous, aggregated counts (for example "this dish has 42 upvotes") may remain, because they no longer identify anyone. We intend to keep individual anonymous usage events (the "Anonymous usage counts" section above) for up to 12 months and then delete them; summaries built from them (for example, how many people tapped Redeem on a source this week) may be kept longer, because a summary no longer identifies one device.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where required, ask for your consent again.
